Langdyke Countryside Trust – the southern branch gets going
March 21, 2017
Tonight we had our first meeting jammed in before musical bingo at The Prince of Wales. A great turn out following the LCT talk at the Village Hall, Castor given by Chris Gardiner – retired warden of Castor Hanglands. We discussed getting out and doing things – starting with planning to look at the Middling / M’lady Pond off Station Road, Ailsworth. We are training to do water testing with the Fresh Water and Habitats Trust for our survey work on the “spring-line” from Upton ponds along to the ditches to the east of Oldfield Pond. This is all good preparation for getting on with some pond restoration. Join the Langdyke Countryside Trust – these folks have great ambition for retaining the rich countryside we have west of Peterborough www.langdyke.org.uk
